Al Udeid AB, Qatar -- On December 6, 2009 the Air Force Reserves sponsored a morale event at Al Udeid AB, Qatar that included the Air Force Reserve Band, comedian Carlos Mencia, singers Jessie James and Kid Rock.

In conjunction with their performances they visited different areas of the base to include the flight line. In preparation for the flight line visit, tanker maintenance selected Nebraska aircraft 57-1461 as the KC-135R to be displayed. The aircraft' s pristine condition and appearance when compared to 27 other tankers led to this decision.
